Kyle Peterson, DVM |
Dr. Kyle Peterson is a proud East Grand Forks native and University of North Dakota alum, graduating from Senior High in 1982, and doing his pre-veterinary coursework at UND from 1982 to 1986. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990, graduating with Distinction.
The first 9 years of his practice career were spent in Milbank, South Dakota in a multidoctor mixed-animal practice. He was a partner in that practice where the majority of the work was with dairy herds, with a significant amount of cow-calf and companion animal medicine and surgery. He also worked with horses, sheep, swine, and the occasional elk, dall sheep, white tail deer, and munt jac deer. In January 1999, he bought this practice from Dr. Ward Gilbertson, a well-respected veterinarian who had been practicing in East Grand Forks for nearly 30 years. Since that time, Dr. Peterson has concentrated almost exclusively on companion animal medicine and surgery. Dr. Peterson and his wife, Lori, have 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, weekends at the lake, fishing and following the Minnesota Twins and UND athletics. |
